Boy am I tired! In fact, I'm so wiped from Mark's Mega Speaking event, I'm going to confess to you what a terrible mom I am. Okay, I had some loose ends to tie up the day after the event near the airport. That meant I would be driving on the freeway in Los Angeles at rush hour so I could pick my 12 year old, Chase up from school. When it came time to go, I was so out of it, I didn't remember it was RUSH HOUR, so I didn't allow for extra time! Add to that, it was drizzling - a major disaster to any driver in LA. (We can't drive in the rain...I don't know why. I just know it is). Anyway, I was late and the poor kid had to walk home about a mile in the rain with his heavy backpack. I felt just awful. He made out okay though. I let him order whatever he wanted from the store and we made cookies together with his brother. It was fun...and he forgave me.

But this Mega Speaking event was amazing. I met hundreds of people with visions to really change the world. I mean, smart people with innovative plans. Gives me hope. But standing on your feet for hours on end can get to a barefoot entrepreneur. I donned high heels all three days like a dope. Not the best choice. The floors were concrete under the pretty carpet.
