I actually ate raw fish!

I'm not a big fan of sushi, even though my darling husband is. Last night I had a dinner meeting with my mentor, Joe Polish, my idol, Bill Phillips ("Body for Life") and some other friends. We went out to a restaurant called KOI. I actually went online beforehand to prepare for what I would order (knowing it was mostly known for its sushi). I had planned to get either the cooked shrimp or possibly the chicken.

Once we got there and were seated, food started arriving. I still don't know who was in charge of the ordering, but my suspicion is it was Bill. The first item was some raw fish under some crunchie onions. I decided I would be adventurous and eat whatever was brought.

Guess what? It was delectable! I loved it. I think it was albacore.

The next dish was some seared ahi with jalapeno slices. Yummy! There was raw beef, real crabmeat (not imitation) wrapped in soy paper, and so many other things I never would have ordered. I loved the entire meal!

Here is Tim Ringgold, Joe Polish, Dean Graziosi, me, and Bill Phillips.
Of course the company was amazing. We were supposed to discuss business but got off on several ethereal tangents instead. It was a remarkable evening, but it didn't end there.

Joe is a good friend of Bill's and asked if we could go back and visit his home. Now I've been to a lot of mansions living in California, but NOTHING as palatial as Bill's estate. Not that it will do it justice but you can visit Joe's site and see some of the pix from a previous visit.

Comments:
Very brave of you Lorrie! I think I would have been better off not knowing what everything was until after it was down the shoot though!

Great pics of Bill Philips home. Thanks for including the link. I'm wondering why you were all meeting with him. Are you working on a marketing program for him or something?

Bill is a long-time friend of Joe's actually and Joe is my current mentor. Joe happened to be in LA doing whatever he is doing and mentioned he was meeting Bill. As a huge fan of Bill's, I sort of glommed on to an invitation to dinner. Heehee.

I not really into late night infomercials or real estate. What I'm really interested in is knowing the truth about Dean Graziosi. You were right there next to him...isn't he a woman?

Oh Gene. Dean might be pretty but he's definitely a man. ;o)

Joe Polish is my idol and mentor as well. I belong to his high level coaching group for carpet cleaners and have doubled our business twice over the last 2 years.

Today, we are well on our way to building the best carpet cleaning business in El Paso, Texas and we owe it all to Joe and his strategies.

I would cut off my right arm if "Dean"
weren't born a female.

I'm sure that "Dean" is a nice person and that "Lorrie" is also nice but how dumb can people be in the year 2008? I know transgender people when I see them. So of course "Lorrie" is going to say that "Dean" is a man. It's kind of weird and too much of a coincidence for me to be online and "his" infomercial comes on and the first thing I think is ...woman/transgender...then goggle out of curiousity only to come across people who caught "his" informercial and thought the same exact thing...I understand that every has the choice to live their life how they want. Just because they're different doesn't mean that they're bad people but I also think that promoting "his" book and business under this male persona is wrong and deceiving. Should "his" sexual orientation be the topic ...no but we're not talking sex and preference. This is about masking your gender. I thought wow "she" is really brave for doing this because some people are close minded...I was ready to applaude "dean"...now I can't. By the way...how does buying foreclosed homes with the help of a bank going to benefit the person purchasing his program? If the market is down and people can't keep up with payments etc...how does getting into debt with a bank and purchasing a house then trying to sell it to a dead market a good program? If anything the person would end up in debt to a bank and probably would his/her house trying to pay off interest to the bank...eventually that person home will be on the list of homes forclosed...hmmm THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END...DECEPTION EVERYWHERE!

^^^^lose his/her house trying to pay the bank back off...It's just a dumb idea but really nice scam.

I have seen both Dean and Joe speak at an incredible marketing super conference. They are both awesome and have really helped my
carpet cleaning business tremendously. If you ever have a chance to see either of them speak, I would highly recomend it.
